Adobe Graphic Design and Photo Editing

The following are descriptions for the Adobe graphic design and photo editing courses we currently offer. Adobe Photoshop Elements 13

Adobe Photoshop CC

New version! Acquire the skills and techniques you need to manipulate images in Photoshop for print, web, and eLearning projects. This course covers the workspace and palettes; photo retouching and editing; working with selections; working with layers; working with masks and channels; typographic design; and stitching together panoramic images. Adobe Illustrator CC

New version! Learn to create vector artwork such as logos, web ads, banners and info charts using the powerful tools in Adobe Illustrator. This course covers drawing lines and shapes; using the fill, stroke, selection, pen and live trace tools; specialty type;  using the gradients and shape builder tools; and working with artboards. New features covered in CC session include the shaper, touch type, curvature, perspective grid tools, and more!

Adobe InDesign CC

New version! InDesign produces the most professional looking publications in the world for print, PDF, and electronic devices such as tablets and phones. Use InDesign to create collateral such as proposals, flyers, newsletters, catalogs, books, PDFs, web banners/ads, eBooks, and more. Course will cover creating and formatting text; adding graphics; working with color; creating master pages; formatting with styles; and PDF exporting. Adobe Acrobat XI Pro

Adobe Acrobat offers so much more than simply manipulating PDFs, and this class gives an excellent foundation to its major features and uses. With Acrobat, you can combine PDFs, change their order, separate them, convert them, and show them as a presentation. You can create and apply digital signatures. You can add bookmarks, links, and buttons for navigating through online documentation. Acrobat can also serve as a “container” for multiple files created from multiple software applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Best yet, Acrobat is probably the industry standard for creating forms.

Adobe Lightroom

Adobe Lightroom 5 provides a comprehensive set of digital photography tools and helps photographers manage, develop, and share their photos. This Lightroom course will help you understand the basic operation of the software and modules. Topics include: setup; digital asset management; editing; bookmaking, printing and sharing; easy workflow. As a cross platform program, this Lightroom course is appropriate for both PC and Mac users. Instruction will include setup for PC and Mac.

Microsoft Publisher

Microsoft Publisher is an easy to use, flexible program for creating newsletters, brochures, business cards, postcards and flyers for print, email, and the Web.
